As of April 8, Rainmaker Advertising is now a Certified LGBT Business Enterprise by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
“Certification as an LGBT Business Enterprise® (LGBTBE) is the first step to growing our business and expanding our client base through the NGLCC Supplier Diversity Initiative (SDI),” said Agency Founder Christopher J. Miller.
Recently, Miller served as Publishing Editor for Affinity Inc. magazine. He quickly realized the importance of supplier diversity, not just with minority and women-owned businesses, but within the LGBT community as well. Supplier diversity is described as the proactive business process of sourcing from previously under-utilized suppliers by major corporations and was first implemented for the LGBT community by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce in 2002.
Rainmaker Advertising’s new LGBT status will grow the business by providing a direct link to hundreds of Corporate-to-Business (C2B) and Business-To-Business (B2B) connections.
“We look forward to cultivating inclusion throughout our core marketing business as well as our new division, the Urban Artist Market,” said Miller. “I believe that diversity is the core driving vision behind the American dream and the Declaration of Independence. Every person has the unalienable right for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness not just socially, but economically.”
The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce is the business voice of the LGBT community and the largest global not-for-profit advocacy organization specifically dedicated to expanding economic opportunities and advancements for LGBT people.
